The Basic Formula
1 Tablespoon Organic Turmeric Powder
1 Teaspoon Raw Honey
1 Teaspoon Squeezed Lemon
1 Teaspoon Full-Fat Organic Yogurt
**(If you have oily skin, you can also add 2 tbsp of aloe vera)**
Preparation
Put your face mask ingredients in a small bowl.
Combine well until it forms a thick paste.
Apply chilled.
Store in the refrigerator for up to 36 hours.
How to Apply a Turmeric Face Mask
Make sure your skin is washed thoroughly. Do not moisturize, exfoliate, or use toner.Apply the chilled turmeric face mask to your face, avoiding the eyes, nose, and mouth. Let set for 15 - 20 minutes (I've left mine on for 30-40 minutes and was completely fine, however, I would recommend testing your skins reaction first). Wash off with lukewarm water.
This turmeric face mask has restorative properties from the inflammation that results in vasoconstriction of the blood vessels in the skin and forms dark circles.
Don’t worry if you make a little too much face mask material than you intended. All the ingredients are food fresh, so just simply slip them into the fridge for use over the next 36 hours.
